Maria attended Eastern Michigan University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She then gained her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University of Maryland. Maria is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and has experience working with individuals and families in various settings, including schools, substance use treatment, and outpatient therapy.

Maria is a trauma informed practitioner and utilizes a variety of therapy modalities. Since every client is unique, Maria approaches therapy as a collaborative process, and works with clients to determine the best approach. Maria emphasizes the importance of the client/therapist relationship and provides a space where clients can feel empowered and safe to discuss difficult topics.
